Personally, I think traps are pretty easy to spot in PvP. If the party is hanging back by a choke point and has one or more rangers - you know what's coming. This doesn't mean you shouldn't use them, but it does mean that you should be able to do something else when they're not paying off. With this build, I don't think that's the case.

Personally I would consider throwing in at least one direct damage spell such as Stone Daggers, Stoning or Obsidian Flame. Being able to focus some extra damage at the vital moment would add a lot to this character I feel.

This is kind of off-topic, but I have a story to tell. I'll make it short.

My friend's team went to play some HoH. They were one of the two teams left. They were up against SIX R/Mes and TWO Mo/Rs. Now this all ranger group had basically just stuck by their priest ALL along the match. It was as if they were afk. So my friend, naturally went on the assault.

BLAM!

His whole party got hit by a WAVE of traps. Not joking, a whole wave. While everyone else was fighting the Rangers had managed to mimicry Oath Shot off some other Ranger, and laid down 30 or so traps, and since Spike Trap KNOCKS you down, he was subjected to MORE traps. So after 3 short seconds, 6 of his party members were dead due to traps, and then they lost.

Only a very organised team could do this, but traps can be deadly...

well i've had alot of success in random pvp with a team that actually listened (no charging wamo's )

if i remember right it was, me (trapper), a very competent interrupt ranger, a good hammer wamo, and a very spiffy monk (hurray monk )

as soon as the first warrior came to charge our monk, he ends up blinded by me, and depending on where the wamo of my group went, i'd assist them in taking out whichever target he/she was after. the interrupt ranger helped with some long range damage supplementation.

we ended up on a 29 win streak before we all had to leave (was overly late by that time). needless to say ~25 of those wins were flawless. Its not exactly the streak of the century, but i was proud of our team work. ie: getting the enemies to pass over my traps that i set up.
